Wajenzi/ About

Builders, in every sense.

“Wajenzi” means builders in Swahili. We're an African team, building from the continent — helping its entrepreneurs grow and channelling global capital toward inclusive growth at home.

Our story
Rooted in Africa, reaching the world.

Headquartered in Luxembourg, Wajenzi is African-founded at its core. We originate across the continent, and distribute through Luxembourg — where global investors place their trust.

We believe technology and structure are just tools. The real work is expanding access to finance, building trust across two markets, and giving Africa's builders the capital to grow.

Why Wajenzi

The capital exists. The companies exist. The bridge doesn't.

Africa's growth-stage SMEs are profitable, ambitious and starved of capital — not because investors lack appetite, but because no one has built the rails to connect the two sides with trust on both ends. That bridge is the entire reason Wajenzi exists.

01 · THE GAP

A structural blind spot

These companies are too large for microfinance and too small for a traditional IPO. They fall into a middle that local banks underprice and global markets can't reach. The gap is structural — and it is precisely where we operate.

02 · THE INSIGHT

Trust travels both ways

Issuers need a route to capital that doesn't demand they become something they're not. Investors need familiar legal protections, recognised venues and real disclosure. We engineer trust into both ends of the same transaction.

03 · THE MODEL

African roots, EU rails

We originate where the companies are — across Africa — and distribute where the capital trusts — Luxembourg. African judgment on the ground, EU-grade structure on the page. That combination is hard to copy, and the heart of our edge.

We're early — on purpose.

A young firm with conviction beats an old one with none.

We'd rather build the rails right than point to a thin portfolio. Every credible market-maker started before its track record existed; what they had was a clear thesis, the right partners and the discipline to do regulated things properly.

So that's what we lead with: a defined problem, a structured solution, licensed partners for every regulated step, and an African team that understands both sides of this trade. The track record is what we're building — deal by deal, with you.
